Unused ticket & credit tracking

When a trip is canceled, the money isn't always gone. We track airline credits and use them before they expire.

Canceled trips are a fact of business travel. What happens to the ticket afterward is where organizations quietly lose money. Credits sit in someone's inbox, get forgotten and expire. Our Athens business travel team keeps track so you don't have to.

How it works

  • When a trip is canceled, we record any credit or refund owed and when it expires.
  • Before booking a new trip for that traveler, we check for credits they can use.
  • We tell you about credits getting close to expiration while there's still time to use them.
  • On request, we'll send regular reports of open credits for your organization.

Know the rules

Airlines handle cancellations differently. Whether you get a refund or a credit depends on the fare, the airline, and who canceled. In some cases, such as a canceled flight or a significant schedule change, travelers may be owed a refund. The U.S. Department of Transportation's air consumer page explains travelers' rights.

Credit tracking works best as part of a managed travel program, and it's especially valuable when travel prices are rising.

Common questions

Can credits be used by someone else?

Usually not. Most airline credits can only be used by the original traveler, which is why tracking them by traveler matters.

Do you track credits from trips we booked ourselves?

We can only track trips booked through us, which is one more reason to keep your travel in one place.
